Castlefields Health Centre’s
Our Practice’s goal is:
To deliver a high quality personalised service provided by a caring team.
We are operating a full telephone triage service as per Government and NHS England guidelines. All patients will be spoken to on the telephone in the first instance. If you need to speak to one of our clinicians (Doctor, Nurse, Clinical Pharmacist etc.), please call us between the hours of 08.00am and 14.00pm Monday to Friday and you will receive a call back the same day. You may want to consider completing an e-Consult request if you have a question you want to ask your doctor. The link to this can be found beneath this message.
Due to social distancing measures, we have limited seating capacity in our waiting areas. If you are asked to attend the Health Centre for an examination, then please do not arrive too early for your appointment. You may be asked to wait outside or in your car if there is no available seating left in the building.
We are also respectively asking all patients who do attend the Health Centre to wear a face covering or mask.
Thank you for your co-operation and understanding.
Please see tab 11 (COVID-19) for more general COVID-19 information.
STAY SAFE AND KEEP WELL
FACE MASK EXEMPTION REQUESTS
Castlefields Health Centre GPs are unfortunately not in a position to provide individual risk assessments or letters for patients who feel that they should be exempt from wearing a face mask/covering.
There is no requirement for a letter or certificate in relation to wearing of face coverings. The Practice will not be providing letters for facemask exemptions. Please see the following website for more information:
Do you need to request a fit note? Do you need some advice from a GP? Then try e-Consult and follow the steps as guided. Please allow 3 working days to enable the GP to process your request.
Welcome to the Castlefields Health Centre website where we hope you will find enhanced convenience added to first class healthcare. Find out when we are open and how to see a member of the team. We’ve made life a little easier with practice updates, news on the latest health issues and even access to repeat medication all at your fingertips.
Castlefields Health Centre was the first practice to be built in Runcorn new town. For more than 50 years, the team has endeavoured to create an efficient but friendly way of providing the highest possible level of health care. We are part of the NHS and the services we provide are free of charge. We moved into our new impressive premises in the Village Square in May 2012. The new modern and larger building has provided some much needed space for more consultation rooms and more treatment rooms, a large meeting room and well- equipped training suite, all of which have enabled a variety of new services to be offered to our patients.
YOUR GOOD HEALTH
Access to a wide range of healthcare services is a key element of a good local practice. We don’t just want to see you when you’re ill we want to make sure you stay healthy too. Check out how we can cover both bases with our clinics and services.
Our professional team will ensure you receive the best attention at all times whether you’re attending a specialist clinic or a routine appointment. If you’re new to the area registration is easy and comes with the comfort of discretion and confidentiality assured.
NHS ENGLAND VISIT
When NHS England last visited us, they looked at our policies and procedures and talked to us about patient care. They told us that they do not have any concerns relating to the work carried out at Castlefields Health Centre and that some of the great work we are doing can be used as examples of best practice to be adopted elsewhere.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE A CHAPERONE PRESENT DURING YOUR CONSULTATION, THEN PLEASE ADVISE THE RECEPTIONIST WHEN BOOKING YOUR APPOINTMENT.
